NCCIA Raids Zong Franchise in Quetta, Seizes SIM Cards, Laptops and Digital Evidence

QUETTA: The Cyber Crime Circle of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA), Quetta, has conducted a successful raid at M. Azlan & Co. (a Zong franchise) located on Quetta Road, Kuchlak, in connection with Inquiry No. 505/2026 after obtaining approval from the competent authority.

During the operation, officials seized Zong SIM cards, laptops, mobile phones, biometric devices, and other digital evidence. All recovered items were taken into custody in accordance with legal procedures through a seizure memo.

According to the NCCIA, the seized digital evidence has been sent to the relevant forensic laboratory for technical analysis and forensic examination. Further legal proceedings will be initiated in accordance with applicable laws once the forensic and technical reports are received.

Sources said that cybercrime authorities have intensified operations against various mobile phone franchises and service centers across Balochistan where complaints of alleged illegal activities are currently under investigation.

However, officials emphasized that the legal liability of any franchise or individual will only be determined after the completion of investigations and a thorough examination of the available evidence. No final conclusions regarding criminal responsibility have been reached at this stage.
