DSP Murid Bugti Martyred in Terrorist Attack in Rakhni, Search Operation Underway
Quetta: A senior police officer was killed and another policeman injured in a terrorist attack in Rakhni, as security forces launched a large-scale search operation to track down the attackers.
According to Balochistan Chief Minister’s Adviser on Information Shahid Rind, terrorists opened fire on police personnel, resulting in the martyrdom of DSP Murid Bugti, while one police officer sustained injuries.
Shahid Rind said security forces have cordoned off the area and initiated a comprehensive search operation against the militants. He added that additional security personnel have been deployed to strengthen the ongoing operation.
He reaffirmed the provincial government’s commitment to eliminating terrorism, stating that action against anti-state elements would continue until they are brought to justice.
The search operation remains in progress as security forces continue efforts to locate and apprehend those responsible for the attack.
