Hafiz Hamdullah Says Balochistan Government Has Failed to Protect Citizens After Mastung Attack
QUETTA: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) central leader Hafiz Hamdullah has strongly condemned the killing of a district judge and his security guard in Mastung, alleging that the incident demonstrates the failure of the provincial government and the state to ensure public safety in Balochistan.
In a statement, Hafiz Hamdullah expressed heartfelt condolences to the families of the martyred judge and his security guard and prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured in the attack.
Criticizing the performance of the provincial government, he said the administration had confined itself to issuing statements, making claims, and holding press conferences instead of taking effective action to improve the security situation.
He questioned the government’s writ, arguing that the current administration appeared unable to fulfill its constitutional and fundamental responsibility of protecting citizens.
Hafiz Hamdullah also expressed concern over the deteriorating law and order situation across Balochistan, stating that passenger vehicles on the Quetta–Karachi Highway and other national highways have repeatedly come under attack, resulting in the deaths of innocent civilians and creating widespread fear among the public.
The JUI-F leader called on the authorities to take immediate and effective measures to improve security and ensure the protection of the lives and property of citizens throughout the province.
