Khawaja Saad Rafique Calls for Constitutional Solutions to Pakistan’s Political Challenges

Lahore:Senior Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khawaja Saad Rafique has urged political stakeholders to address Pakistan’s internal challenges through constitutional and legal means rather than coercive measures.
In a statement posted on social media platform X, Rafique said that political opponents cannot be silenced or suppressed indefinitely, adding that history has shown such attempts have never succeeded.
He emphasized that instead of reacting emotionally or attempting to “fix” political rivals, governments and political parties should counter opposing narratives with stronger and more convincing arguments.
According to Rafique, complex political disputes can only be resolved by finding common ground between the state and aggrieved groups, paving the way for lasting and peaceful solutions.

Commenting on the use of state authority, he said a state’s true strength in dealing with internal issues does not lie in force, arrests, or intimidation, but in the fair and impartial application of the Constitution and the rule of law.
He further warned that the excessive use of power can weaken national unity and create deeper divisions within society, concluding his statement with the remark that lasting sovereignty belongs only to Allah.
