Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Meets Balochistan CM Sarfraz Bugti, Discusses Security and Political Situation in Province
Islamabad: Chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari met with Chief Minister of Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti at Zardari House in Islamabad to discuss the overall political, administrative, and law and order situation in Balochistan.
During the meeting, Chief Minister Bugti briefed Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on the province’s current administrative and political affairs, as well as the government’s response to recent terrorist incidents. He informed the PPP chairman that comprehensive measures had been taken to address the concerns of the families affected by the Ziarat tragedy and to fulfill their legitimate demands.
The Chief Minister stated that, at the request of the victims’ families, a judicial commission had been established to investigate the incident and ascertain the facts. He further revealed that an All Parties Conference (APC) would soon be convened to promote political harmony and establish lasting peace in Balochistan. The conference will invite both parliamentary and non-parliamentary political parties to formulate a joint strategy against terrorism and for peace and stability in the province.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari paid tribute to the personnel of the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps (FC), and Police who lost their lives in the recent wave of terrorism. He expressed solidarity with the bereaved families, stating that he shares their grief and pain.
The PPP chairman appreciated Chief Minister Bugti’s efforts in addressing the concerns of the Ziarat tragedy victims and successfully advancing the dialogue process during a difficult time. He also thanked opposition parties for their constructive role in making the negotiations successful.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari emphasized that lasting solutions to Balochistan’s political issues can only be achieved through dialogue and political engagement. He reiterated that the PPP has always believed in meaningful dialogue with political stakeholders, whether in government or in opposition.
Reaffirming the party’s unwavering stance against terrorism, Bilawal stated that the Pakistan Peoples Party remains firmly committed to standing shoulder to shoulder with state institutions and the people of Pakistan in the fight against the menace of terrorism.
