Balochistan Launches First-Ever e-Domicile and e-Local Certificate System

Quetta: The Government of Balochistan has officially launched the province’s first-ever e-Domicile and e-Local Certificate System, marking a major step toward the digital transformation of public services. A formal notification has also been issued for the implementation of the new system.

Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Shahid Rind said the initiative has been introduced on the instructions of Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti to gradually digitize the entire process of issuing domicile and local certificates, making the service faster, more transparent, and more accessible for citizens.

Under the new e-Domicile System, applicants will be able to submit their requests online through NADRA centers, Deputy Commissioner (DC) offices, and the Pak ID platform from anywhere in Pakistan, eliminating the need for repeated visits to government offices.

Shahid Rind said the digital system is expected to reduce processing delays, eliminate unnecessary administrative procedures, curb the role of middlemen, and prevent the issuance of fraudulent domicile and local certificates.

He added that the system will also enhance the security and accuracy of citizens’ data while providing government institutions with a secure and reliable verification mechanism.

According to Shahid Rind, the Government of Balochistan is implementing practical reforms in line with Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti’s vision of delivering modern, transparent, and fully digital public services, ensuring citizens receive government facilities in a more efficient and timely manner.
