Kashmir Is Part of Pakistan, Kashmiris’ Rights Will Not Be Compromised: Khawaja Saad Rafique

Islamabad: Senior Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khawaja Saad Rafique has said that Kashmir is an integral part of Pakistan and that there will be no compromise on the rights and identity of the Kashmiri people.

Addressing a Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz workers’ convention in Zafarwal, Khawaja Saad Rafique said the current political situation represents more than just an election, describing it as a referendum on the country’s future.

He stated that preventing elections or creating obstacles in the electoral process would not resolve the public’s problems. He also said that the affection and attachment of the people of Kashmir toward Pakistan could not be diminished.

Rafique added that the rights of Jammu and Kashmir refugees, including their political representation and voting rights, would be protected under all circumstances.

He further said that if any political party enjoys public support, its popularity should be tested through elections and the decision left to the voters. He also criticized long marches, lockdowns, and road blockades, saying such actions severely disrupt daily life and create difficulties for the public.

The remarks reflect Khawaja Saad Rafique’s political views expressed during the party event.
