Quetta: Haji Mir Ali Madad Jatak, the Provincial Minister for Agriculture and a member of the executive committee of the Pakistan Peoples Party, has described the recent Mastung tragedy as the most heart-wrenching incident in Balochistan. In a strongly worded statement, he condemned the targeting of schoolchildren, labeling it as a blatant act against education.
Jatak emphasized that attacking students contradicts tribal traditions, which hold that women and children should never be harmed. He asserted that hostile elements, in their attempts to please foreign patrons, are engaging in heinous acts that will ultimately fail, and they will not evade the law.
Expressing his condolences to the families of the deceased children, girls, and police personnel, he stated, “We share in their grief during this painful time.” He also urged hospital staff to ensure that there is no lapse in the treatment of the injured.
