Balochistan School Education Department Imposes Two-Month Ban on Staff Transfers, Launches Rationalization Drive

Quetta: The Balochistan School Education Department has imposed an immediate two-month ban on the transfers and postings of teaching and non-teaching staff across the province.

An official notification, signed by Lal Jan Jaffar, has been issued, with the order taking effect immediately.

According to the notification, the department has launched a comprehensive staff rationalization program for the 2026–27 fiscal year to ensure the proper distribution of sanctioned posts, improve staff deployment, and enhance the efficiency of the public school education system across Balochistan.

As part of the initiative, new Drawing and Disbursing Officer (DDO) codes have been issued for all government schools in the province.

The department said the new DDO codes will facilitate the redistribution of teaching and non-teaching staff in line with the sanctioned strength and actual staffing requirements of each educational institution, helping to achieve a more balanced allocation of human resources throughout the province.
