QUETTA: Pakistan Bar Council member Munir Ahmed Khan Kakar has strongly condemned the armed attack in Hanna Urak that claimed the lives of several local youths, describing the incident as a grave crime against humanity, the rule of law, and tribal traditions.
In a statement, Kakar expressed full support for the legitimate demands of the protesters participating in the ongoing sit-in on Airport Road, saying the tragic incident had left the entire province in mourning.
He said the targeting of innocent and unarmed young men was a cowardly and reprehensible act that deserved the strongest possible condemnation.
Kakar called on the federal and Balochistan governments, law enforcement agencies, and the district administration to immediately arrest those responsible for the attack and ensure they are prosecuted in accordance with the law. He also urged the authorities to provide justice, protection, and every possible form of assistance to the affected families.
The Pakistan Bar Council member warned that failure to bring the perpetrators to justice promptly could further erode public confidence in state institutions.
He emphasized that protecting the lives and property of citizens is the foremost responsibility of the government and said any negligence in fulfilling this duty is unacceptable.
Expressing his heartfelt condolences to the families of those killed, Kakar prayed for the victims’ eternal peace, wished a speedy recovery for the injured, and prayed that the bereaved families be granted strength and patience during this difficult time.
