FIR Registered Against Bus Company and Driver After Dhana Sar Bus Crash, Says Shahid Rind

Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister’s Adviser Shahid Rind has announced that an FIR has been registered against the bus company and the driver following the tragic passenger bus accident at Dhana Sar, and a formal investigation has been launched. He said those found responsible will face strict legal action.
In a statement, Rind said the devastating accident, which occurred a day earlier in the border region between Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, claimed the lives of 40 people and left eight others injured. He expressed the Balochistan government’s deep sorrow over the tragic loss of life.
He said rescue teams responded promptly after the accident, while authorities are examining every aspect of the incident to determine its exact cause and identify those responsible.
Shahid Rind confirmed that a criminal case has been registered against the bus company and the driver, and investigations are continuing from multiple angles. He emphasized that no individual or organization involved in the incident would receive any leniency and that all responsible parties would be dealt with strictly in accordance with the law.
He further stated that the provincial government is committed to ensuring justice for the affected families and will ensure a transparent investigation that brings those responsible before the law.
Rind also said the Balochistan government will strengthen the enforcement of transport safety regulations across the province, including stricter inspections of passenger vehicle fitness, route permits, driver qualifications, and other safety measures. He added that protecting the lives and property of the public remains a top priority, and transport laws will be enforced more rigorously to help prevent similar tragedies in the future.
