Bahria Town Appeals to Pakistan’s Army Chief to Halt Property Auctions

RAWALPINDI:The management of Bahria Town has written a letter to Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, requesting his intervention to stop what it describes as the auction of its valuable properties at prices significantly below their market value.

According to the letter, Bahria Town claims that land and assets worth billions of rupees are being auctioned at substantially discounted prices, raising serious concerns about the transparency of the process.

The company stated that its housing projects represent more than **Rs372 billion** in investments belonging to millions of stakeholders, including overseas Pakistanis, widows, and ordinary citizens, whose lifetime savings are allegedly at risk.

Bahria Town has urged the army chief to order an independent and transparent inquiry into the matter and requested that the ongoing property auctions be suspended until the investigation is completed.

In its letter, the company also emphasized that it does not consider itself above the law and expressed its willingness to resolve all longstanding disputes through legal procedures, dialogue, and arbitration.

**Note:** The contents of the letter reflect the position of Bahria Town. No official response from Pakistan’s military or the relevant government authorities had been reported at the time of publication.
