Monsoon System Active in Lahore and Punjab, Light Rain Expected, Temperature to Rise: Meteorological Department Forecast

Lahore: The monsoon system is currently active across Lahore and the broader Punjab region. However, according to the Meteorological Department, light rain is expected rather than heavy showers. Following a reduction in rainfall intensity, temperatures and humidity levels are expected to rise.
The Meteorological Department has recorded a minimum temperature of 29°C in Lahore, with a maximum temperature expected to reach around 35°C. The department further indicated that light rain could occur in some areas, but widespread rainfall is unlikely.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued an alert for the fifth monsoon spell, which is expected to last from July 28 to July 31.
In response to the weather conditions, WASA, LWM, the Lahore Metropolitan Corporation, and the Housing Department have taken proactive measures to ensure timely arrangements to safeguard citizens from any unforeseen circumstances.
