Pakistan Cuts Petrol and Diesel Prices by Rs1.97 Per Litre

ISLAMABAD: The government has announced a reduction in the prices of petroleum products, lowering the rates of both petrol and high-speed diesel by Rs1.97 per litre.

According to the Petroleum Division, the price of petrol has been reduced by Rs1.97 per litre, bringing the new rate to Rs297.53 per litre.

The price of high-speed diesel (HSD) has also been cut by Rs1.97 per litre, with the new price set at Rs309.50 per litre.

The revised prices came into effect from 12:00 a.m., following the government’s latest notification.

The reduction is expected to provide modest relief to consumers and the transport sector amid fluctuating global oil prices and domestic fuel cost adjustments.
