Journalist Mohsin Babar Criticizes Imran Khan’s Governance, Praises Shehbaz Sharif’s Work Ethic

Lahore: Journalist and political analyst Mohsin Babar has criticized former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s style of governance while praising the work ethic and administrative approach of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah.
Speaking during a discussion, Babar alleged that Imran Khan’s government suffered from poor governance and claimed that the former prime minister maintained an irregular work routine.
According to Babar, Imran Khan would often arrive at his office in the afternoon and devoted only a limited number of hours to official duties during his tenure. These remarks reflect Babar’s personal assessment and have not been independently verified.
In contrast, Babar praised Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, saying he begins official work early in the morning and regularly holds meetings with senior government officials from around 7:30 a.m. He also said the prime minister frequently visits development sites and closely monitors government projects.
The journalist also commended Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, describing him as punctual and dedicated to his official responsibilities.
The remarks were made as part of Babar’s comparison of the governance styles of Pakistan’s former and current political leadership. Neither Imran Khan nor his party had publicly responded to the comments at the time of reporting.
