OGRA Issues Clarification, Confirms No Increase in Gas Prices

Islamabad:The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has issued a clarification regarding recent contradictory media reports about gas price adjustments, stating that no increase has been approved.

According to an OGRA spokesperson, misleading impressions were circulated about gas tariff changes. The spokesperson confirmed that neither an increase nor any alteration in gas prices has been authorized.

OGRA stated that the revenue requirements of both SNGPL and SSGCL are being adequately met through their existing network income, which is why no revision in prices was considered necessary.

The authority reiterated that gas prices remain unchanged and will continue at the previous rates.
