Kaaba Washed with Zamzam Water and Rose Water in Annual Ceremony at the Grand Mosque

Makkah:** The annual Kaaba washing ceremony was held at the Grand Mosque in Makkah, where the Holy Kaaba was ceremonially cleansed using thousands of liters of Zamzam water mixed with rose water.
The spiritually significant event was attended by foreign diplomats, members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), religious scholars, and other distinguished guests.
Representing the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Makkah Governor **Prince Saud bin Mishaal** participated in the ceremony following the Fajr prayer.
During the event, only a limited number of pilgrims were allowed to perform Tawaf as authorities implemented strict security measures to ensure the smooth conduct of the ceremony.

To protect the Kaaba’s Kiswah, the curtain covering its door was raised during the washing process, allowing easy access to the interior while safeguarding the sacred cloth.
The annual Kaaba washing ceremony is one of Islam’s most revered traditions, symbolizing purity and reflecting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s continued care for the Two Holy Mosques.
