JUI Condemns Killing of Businessman Hashim Khan Noorzai, Criticizes Government Over Law and Order

Quetta: The Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI), Quetta district chapter, has strongly condemned the daylight killing of prominent businessman and Kabul Jan Restaurant owner Hashim Khan Noorzai, describing the incident as evidence of deteriorating law and order in the provincial capital.

In a statement, the party’s spokesperson expressed deep sorrow over Noorzai’s killing within the jurisdiction of Airport Road, saying the attack reflected the government’s failure to maintain public security.

The spokesperson said the targeted killing of a well-known businessman in broad daylight demonstrated that the provincial government and relevant institutions had been unable to ensure law and order. The party further alleged that such incidents were harming Balochistan’s already fragile economy and creating insecurity among the business community.

JUI called on the government to immediately arrest those responsible for the murder, bring them to justice, and provide effective security to traders and business owners.

The spokesperson added that JUI leaders in Quetta had repeatedly urged the government and local administration to address the province’s worsening security situation, but claimed those concerns had not been adequately addressed.

Describing the killing as both tragic and alarming, the party reiterated its demand for the immediate restoration of lasting peace in Quetta and urged the authorities to take concrete measures to improve law and order across the city.
