Quetta Police and Customs Launch Joint Crackdown on Non-Customs Vehicles, 30 Vehicles Worth Rs 8 Crore Handed Over

Quetta: A joint meeting of Balochistan Police and Pakistan Customs Preventive was held at the Central Police Office in Quetta, attended by Muhammad Tahir, Collector Pakistan Customs Dr. Karam Elahi, and senior officials from both departments.

Addressing the meeting, IG Police Balochistan stated that non-customs vehicles seized by the police are handed over to Pakistan Customs Preventive after completing legal formalities. He emphasized that these vehicles are often used in illegal activities, causing significant losses to the national treasury.

Collector Customs Balochistan, Dr. Karam Elahi, praised the police campaign against non-customs vehicles and noted that the crackdown targets smuggling, use, and illegal trade of such vehicles. A joint strategy was adopted for coordinated enforcement against these illegal vehicles.

At the conclusion of the meeting, a formal handover ceremony was held in which 30 non-customs vehicles, valued at approximately Rs 8 crore, were transferred to Customs authorities after completion of legal procedures. DIG Quetta Imran Shaukat officially handed over the high-value vehicles to Collector Customs Balochistan Dr. Karam Elahi.
