IAEA Chief Insists Iran’s Nuclear Facilities Will Be Inspected Despite Tehran’s Objections

Vienna:** Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), **Rafael Grossi**, has stated that inspections of Iran’s nuclear facilities will eventually take place despite ongoing disagreements over access.
Speaking on the issue, Grossi said that inspections of Iran’s nuclear sites would be carried out sooner or later.
“We will inspect the nuclear facilities. Whether it is tomorrow, the day after, or later, the inspections will take place,” he said.
Earlier, US President **Donald Trump** also expressed confidence that international inspectors would be allowed access to Iran’s nuclear facilities at an appropriate time. He reiterated that Tehran would never be permitted to acquire nuclear weapons.
However, Iran has maintained its opposition to inspections of facilities affected by recent military strikes.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman **Ismail Baghaei** said that Tehran would not allow the IAEA to inspect the nuclear sites at **Fordow**, **Natanz**, and **Isfahan**, which were damaged in US and Israeli attacks.
Baghaei also denied reports that Iranian officials had met with the IAEA Director General in Switzerland.
Commenting on Iran’s frozen assets, the Foreign Ministry spokesman said the country faces no restrictions regarding the use of its unfrozen funds.
The differing statements underscore continuing tensions between Iran, the United States, and international nuclear watchdogs over transparency and monitoring of Tehran’s nuclear program following the recent conflict.
