Trump Warns Iran Against Attacking Qatar, Threatens Strike on Gas Field

Washington: U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a strong warning to Iran, stating that any attack on Qatar would trigger a severe response from the United States.

In a statement posted on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump said the U.S. had no prior knowledge of the recent Israeli strike on Iran’s South Pars gas field, describing the site as a highly valuable and strategic asset.

He further claimed that Israel would not carry out another attack on the facility and cautioned Iran against escalating tensions in the region.

Trump warned that if Iran targets Qatar, the U.S. would respond by destroying the Pars gas field, adding that such a strike would be unprecedented in intensity.

He also described attacks on Qatar’s LNG facilities as unjustified and unfair, emphasizing that any repeat of such actions would provoke a strong reaction from Washington.

The U.S. president added that renewed aggression by Iran could further destabilize the region, but stressed that the United States seeks to avoid large-scale violence due to its long-term consequences for Iran.
