CTD Officer Martyred, 2 Robbers Killed, Several Incidents of Violence Reported Across Balochistan

Quetta / Interior Balochistan: At least one Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) officer was martyred, two suspected robbers were killed, and two most-wanted criminals were arrested in separate incidents of violence, targeted killings, and police encounters across different districts of Balochistan over the past 24 hours.

CTD Officer Martyred in Noshki

In Noshki’s Ahmed Wal Chowk area, unidentified armed men opened fire, killing a CTD officer identified as Mamo Afzal Muhammad Hassani. The attackers managed to escape after the incident. Police shifted the body to a local hospital and later handed it over to the family after completing legal formalities. An investigation has been launched.

2 Suspected Robbers Killed in Quetta Encounter

In Quetta, near a taxi stand, an exchange of fire took place between police and armed suspects, resulting in the death of two alleged robbers on the spot. Their bodies were shifted to Civil Hospital Quetta for identification and medico-legal procedures. Police said efforts are underway to verify their identities and criminal records.

2 Most-Wanted Criminals Arrested in Nasirabad

In Dera Murad Jamali, police intercepted armed suspects during a robbery attempt on a national highway. The suspects opened fire and tried to flee but were chased and surrounded in the Manjhoo Shori area of Tambu.

In a heavy exchange of fire, police arrested two highly wanted criminals, identified as Mubarak Mighri and Nawaz Jatak, in injured condition. Weapons including two Kalashnikov rifles, a TT pistol, ammunition, and a stolen motorcycle were recovered. Police said the suspects were involved in dozens of cases of murder, kidnapping, and robbery.

Senior police officials announced cash rewards and commendation certificates for the operation team.

2 Civilians Killed in Panjgur and Turbat

In Panjgur’s Chakol area, police recovered the bullet-riddled body of an unidentified man, believed to have been killed at close range. The body was shifted to hospital for identification and investigation.

In another incident in Kech district’s Turbat (Dasht area), armed men opened fire in a local market, killing a man identified as Hamal son of Hameed, before fleeing the scene. Police have launched investigations into both cases.

Petrol Pump Attack in Jaffarabad

In Dera Allah Yar, Jaffarabad, dozens of armed men attacked a local petrol pump with sticks, damaging property and injuring two individuals, Muhammad Yaqoob and Ghulam Ali Rahoja. The injured were shifted to hospital and later referred for advanced treatment. Police have registered a case and begun efforts to arrest the attackers.

Authorities are investigating all incidents as security concerns continue to rise across multiple districts of Balochistan.
