Farmer Shot Dead on National Highway in Notal, Gunmen Escape
Quetta/Naseerabad: A farmer was shot dead by unidentified armed assailants on the Notal National Highway, while the attackers managed to flee the scene, police said.
According to DSP Shaman Ali, the victim was working on his agricultural land when unidentified gunmen opened fire on him. He died on the spot after sustaining critical gunshot wounds.
The DSP said preliminary investigations suggest that the incident appears to be the result of an old personal enmity. However, police are investigating the case from multiple angles to determine the exact motive.
Soon after the incident, police cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to trace and arrest the suspects. Authorities said evidence is being collected, and efforts are underway to bring those responsible to justice as soon as possible.
