Balochistan CM Praises Security Forces for Foiling Major Terror Plot in Khuzdar

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has praised the security forces for carrying out a successful intelligence-based operation in Khuzdar, saying their timely and effective action foiled a major terrorist plot and saved countless lives.
In a statement, the chief minister said the security forces acted with professionalism by intercepting and destroying two vehicles loaded with explosives that were allegedly prepared for suicide attacks.
He added that four militants, whom he described as being backed by India, were killed during the operation. According to Bugti, the success reflects the forces’ high level of professionalism, vigilance, and unwavering commitment to national security.
The chief minister alleged that India-backed militant elements are attempting to undermine peace, development, and stability in Balochistan, but said the state, security forces, and law enforcement agencies would continue to thwart such efforts.
Reaffirming the government’s commitment under the “Azm-e-Istehkam” initiative, Bugti said operations against terrorism would continue with full force until the threat is completely eliminated and peace is ensured across the province.
He also stated that the entire nation stands alongside the country’s security forces in the fight against terrorism and that there is no place in Pakistan, particularly in Balochistan, for those involved in militant activities.
