PkMAP Condemns Rising Terrorism and Lawlessness in Southern Pashtun Areas

Quetta (Qudrat Daily) – The central secretariat of the Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) has strongly condemned the recent wave of terrorism, targeted killings, kidnappings, and other violent incidents across various districts of southern Pashtun regions, expressing serious concern over the deteriorating law and order situation.

In a press release, the party stated that continuous terrorist attacks on highways, loss of precious lives, arson of trucks and private property, kidnappings for ransom, and other criminal activities in districts including Harnai, Ziarat, Duki, Qila Abdullah, Chaman, Pishin, and Sibi have become a matter of grave concern.

The party said that despite alleged information about the individuals involved and their whereabouts in some cases, the government’s failure to take effective action raises serious questions. It also referred to the acid attack case involving Dr. Maah Noor Nasir at Civil Hospital Quetta and demanded a thorough and transparent investigation into the incident.

According to the statement, incidents including the burning of vehicles and abduction of four people in the Mangi area of Ziarat, the kidnapping of workers on Duki Road, the killing of five individuals in Shahrag, targeted killings in Qila Abdullah, and firing incidents in Chaman reflect a continuing trend of insecurity. The party noted that those responsible for these incidents have yet to be brought to justice.

PkMAP accused the provincial government of failing to address public concerns and maintain law and order, alleging that affected families and citizens are being offered assurances without meaningful action on the ground.

The party demanded immediate measures to curb terrorism, kidnappings, and other crimes, compensation for victims who suffered financial losses, and strict legal action against all perpetrators and their alleged facilitators.

Concluding its statement, PkMAP urged the federal and provincial governments to take urgent, practical, and effective steps to restore peace, protect citizens’ lives and property, uphold the rule of law, and ensure a sense of security and confidence among the public.
