Killing of Former BSO Leader Zubair Baloch a Tragedy for Political Workers: Aslam Baloch
QUETTA:National Party’s provincial president, Aslam Baloch, has condemned the killing of former BSO-Pajjar chairman **Zubair Baloch**, calling it a tragic loss for political activists in Balochistan.
He described Zubair Baloch as a highly educated youth, a committed lawyer, and a leader who had organized a consistent struggle for students’ rights, enduring multiple imprisonments in the process. “He always demanded that people should not be forcibly disappeared or killed extrajudicially, yet tragically he himself became a victim of such a killing,” Aslam Baloch stated.
He demanded that the case be investigated by a committee of Balochistan High Court judges to uncover the truth and present facts before the public.
Criticizing the governance model in the province, Aslam Baloch said that non-democratic forces have imposed an “unrealistic and unpopular group” in Balochistan, prioritizing personal interests over public welfare. This, he warned, has fueled violence and instability in the province.
“As long as the mandate of genuine political forces is not recognized, mistrust and unrest in Balochistan will only deepen. Such turmoil cannot be contained through false narratives,” he added.
