Dera Murad Jamali (Qudrat News) — A severe heatwave has gripped the Nasirabad Division and surrounding areas, pushing temperatures up to 51°C and severely disrupting daily life.
Due to intense heat and hot winds, dozens of people reportedly fainted while routine business activities came to a complete standstill. Markets, shops, offices, and streets remained largely deserted, presenting an unusual scene of emptiness and distress.
According to reports, the heatwave has affected a wide range of areas including Nasirabad, Jaffarabad, Usta Muhammad, Sohbatpur, Jhal Magsi, Kachhi, Dhadar, Bhag Nari, Bakhtiarabad, Lehri, Dera Allah Yar, Dera Murad Jamali, Tamboo, Babakot, Khankot, Mirwah, Ghafarabad, Landhi Sharif, Notal, Fatehpur, Chattar, Fuleji, Sikandarabad, Manjhoty, Dault Ghari, Faridabad, Chatani Patti, Jiani, Manjhi Pur, and others.
Residents say that prolonged load-shedding and an acute shortage of drinking water have further worsened the situation, leaving citizens struggling to cope with extreme conditions.
Locals also reported that hundreds of birds and animals have died due to the intense heat, while most people have been forced to remain indoors.
The Meteorological Department has forecast a further rise in temperature in the coming days, warning that conditions may deteriorate even more.
