Acid Attack Case: Dr Mah Noor Nasir Recovering with Remarkable Courage, Government Standing by Her at Every Stage – CM Balochistan

Karachi (Qudrat Daily) – Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti has said that Dr Mah Noor Nasir, who was injured in the tragic acid attack incident in Quetta, is recovering with extraordinary courage and determination, while the Government of Balochistan will bear full responsibility for her treatment, rehabilitation, and future medical needs.

The Chief Minister visited Dr Mah Noor Nasir at Aga Khan Hospital Karachi, inquired about her health, and received a detailed briefing from the doctors regarding her medical condition. He also met her father and family members, assuring them of complete support from the provincial government.

Speaking to the media after the visit, Mir Sarfraz Bugti said he had a detailed conversation with the injured doctor and was deeply impressed by her courage. “The way she spoke to me and the determination with which she is facing this difficult situation is highly commendable. The doctors have also assured us that her condition is improving and Insha’Allah she will recover fully soon,” he said.

The Chief Minister stated that medical experts at Aga Khan Hospital informed him that timely transfer of the patient to Karachi via the Peoples Air Ambulance helped prevent major medical complications. He noted that in acid attack cases, timely medical intervention is critical, and immediate treatment helped save the patient from irreversible damage.

He added that the Peoples Air Ambulance service was launched specifically for such emergency situations, and its positive results are now clearly visible. The government, he said, will continue efforts to ensure timely and quality healthcare facilities for the people of Balochistan.

Responding to a question, the Chief Minister said that if medical experts recommend treatment abroad in the future, the Government of Balochistan will take all necessary steps. “If treatment is required anywhere in the world, the provincial government will bear all expenses, including plastic surgery, rehabilitation, and all stages of recovery,” he said.

Mir Sarfraz Bugti also thanked the Government of Sindh and particularly Ms. Faryal Talpur for extending special support in the care of the injured doctor. He said a nominated female member from Sindh has been regularly visiting the hospital to support and look after the patient, for which the people of Balochistan are grateful.

He further said that the accused involved in the incident has already met his logical end, but the government will continue to strengthen measures for women’s safety and ensure a secure working environment in light of lessons learned from the incident.

The Chief Minister reiterated that the protection of every daughter is the fundamental responsibility of the state and the government, and no effort will be spared in fulfilling this duty, while the government will remain with Dr Mah Noor Nasir until her complete recovery.
