UAE Announces Public Holiday for Islamic New Year, Employees to Enjoy Three-Day Long Weekend

Abu Dhabi: The United Arab Emirates has announced a public holiday for both government and private sector employees on the occasion of the Islamic New Year, according to Gulf News.
The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources confirmed that the holiday will fall on Monday, June 15, marking the beginning of the new Hijri year 1448. As the date coincides with the regular weekend (Saturday and Sunday), employees across the country will enjoy a three-day long weekend.
Normal office operations will resume on Tuesday, June 16.
The announcement applies to both public and private sector workers, allowing them an extended break as the country observes the start of the Islamic New Year.
