Security Forces Kill 17 Terrorists in Operations Across Balochistan: ISPR

Islamabad (News Desk) — Security forces conducted successful operations in various areas of Balochistan, killing 17 terrorists, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

In a statement, ISPR said the operations were launched based on intelligence following the May 24, 2026 train incident, targeting multiple districts including Mastung, Noshki, Zehri, Khuzdar, and Kech.

The military’s media wing stated that security forces targeted terrorist hideouts and, during intense exchanges of fire, eliminated 17 terrorists belonging to what it described as the “Indian-sponsored Fitna al-Hindustan” network. The operations dealt a significant blow to terrorist networks active in these areas.

ISPR further said that weapons, explosives, and bomb-making equipment were recovered from the possession of the killed militants. According to the statement, the slain terrorists were involved in several major acts of terrorism in Balochistan.

A sanitization operation is currently underway to clear remaining threats from the affected areas. The statement added that under the vision of “Azm-e-Istehkam,” security forces and law enforcement agencies will continue their counter-terrorism efforts at full pace to eliminate terrorism and dismantle externally supported networks operating in the country.
