Russian Muslim Pilgrim Dies in Madinah During Spiritual Visit, Buried in Jannat al-Baqi

Madinah: A Russian-born Muslim pilgrim, identified as Muhammad Rasool, passed away in the holy city of Madinah during a spiritual visit, according to local reports.

The deceased had travelled to Madinah to perform pilgrimage and visit religious sites, including prayers near Masjid an-Nabawi ﷺ. He reportedly died suddenly during his stay.

Sources said Muhammad Rasool was residing near the Prophet’s Mosque for worship and spiritual reflection when the incident occurred. A close friend documented details of his final moments and funeral arrangements in a video shared within community circles.

Following his death, he was laid to rest in Jannat al-Baqi, the historic cemetery in Madinah, where many prominent Islamic figures are buried.

Family members and friends described his passing as a deeply spiritual and faith-filled moment, and prayed for forgiveness and mercy for the deceased. They also requested prayers for the elevation of his ranks in the hereafter.

Authorities have not reported any foul play, and the death is being treated as natural, according to initial accounts.
