Field Marshal Says No One Will Be Allowed to Destabilize Pakistan, Reaffirms Commitment to Fight Terrorism

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir has stated that no miscreant or hostile element will be allowed to disturb peace and stability in Pakistan, reaffirming that the fight against terrorism will continue with full national resolve until lasting peace is achieved.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), a dignified ceremony was held at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi to confer military awards on officers and soldiers who demonstrated exceptional courage and service in defense of the country.

The ceremony was attended by Field Marshal Asim Munir as the chief guest. During the event, he paid rich tribute to the martyrs and their families, saluting the mothers of the fallen soldiers and embracing their children.

Addressing the ceremony, the Army Chief said that martyrs and veterans remain the eternal pride of the nation, adding that the peace and stability currently enjoyed in Pakistan is a result of their supreme sacrifices and dedication to duty.

He emphasized that the armed forces, along with all law enforcement agencies, are united in defending the country and will continue their operations against terrorism with full strength and determination.

“No miscreant will be allowed to destabilize peace in Pakistan,” he said, reiterating that the fight against terrorism will continue until sustainable stability is achieved across the country.

The ISPR stated that officers and soldiers who showed extraordinary bravery and distinguished service during various operations were awarded high military honors.

A total of 50 Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Military) awards were conferred on officers for outstanding performance and long meritorious service, while 12 Tamgha-e-Basalat were awarded to personnel for exceptional bravery in the field.

Awards for martyrs were received posthumously by their families, who accepted them with dignity and pride.
