Court Bars Arrest of PTI Lawmakers and Leaders Until July 23

ISLAMABAD: An anti-terrorism court in Islamabad has ordered authorities not to arrest lawmakers and leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf until July 23 in connection with multiple cases registered over protests, including the November 26 demonstrations and protests outside the Supreme Court.
The court also extended the pre-arrest bail of PTI leaders until July 23 during the hearing of 243 bail applications.
The hearing was conducted by Judge Abual Hasanat Muhammad Zulqarnain of the Anti-Terrorism Court Islamabad.
Several PTI members of the National Assembly and party leaders appeared before the court, including Umair Niazi, Latif Khosa, Junaid Akbar, Arbab Sher Ali, Sajid Khan Mohmand, and Senator Falak Naz Chitrali.
Other PTI figures present in court included Khurram Sher Zaman, Raja Basharat, Rauf Hasan, Niazullah Niazi, former Azad Kashmir prime minister Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi, Seemabia Tahir, Nadia Khattak, and retired Major Tahir Sadiq.
The cases against PTI leaders have been registered at several police stations, including Kohsar, Khanna, Tarnol, Karachi Company, and Secretariat police stations in Islamabad.
