Shahid Rind Condemns Terror Attacks in Balochistan, Calls Killings of Policewoman and Professor a “Barbaric Act”

QUETTA — Balochistan’s Deputy Chief Minister’s aide Shahid Rind has strongly condemned recent terrorist incidents in Turbat and Nushki, describing them as acts of extreme brutality targeting innocent civilians.

In his statement, Shahid Rind said the killing of a female police constable and the attack on noted Brahui writer and professor Professor Ghambkhar Hayat represent a direct assault on the province’s intellectual, literary, and cultural values.

He expressed sorrow over the injuries sustained by the policewoman’s husband and son, calling attacks on women and children “unacceptable under any circumstances.” He stressed that elements responsible for spreading fear through such violence will not be spared and must be brought to justice.

Referring to the incident involving Shahid Rind himself, he reiterated that the attack on educators and scholars is an attack on knowledge and the intellectual foundation of Baloch society. He said that terrorist groups are attempting to destabilize peace by targeting teachers, women, and children.

Shahid Rind reaffirmed the government’s commitment, stating that law enforcement agencies are fully determined to eliminate terrorism from the province. He added that the sacrifices of martyrs will not go in vain and assured that all available resources are being utilized to arrest those involved and provide justice to the affected families.

The government, he said, stands in full solidarity with the grieving families and remains resolute in restoring peace and security across Balochistan.
