Pakistani passport holders get visa-free access to around 30 countries

ISLAMABAD: According to the latest Passport Index report of the renowned global organization Henley & Partners, the Pakistani passport has come to the 100th position, due to which the global travel freedom of citizens has been limited.

The report said that Pakistani passport holders can travel to about 30 countries in the world with visa-free or visa-on-arrival facilities, due to which Pakistan continues to be included in the list of weak passports.

In the Caribbean and the Americas region, Pakistani citizens can go to Barbados, Dominica, Haiti, Montserrat, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and Trinidad and Tobago.

In addition, in Africa, there are countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Madagascar, Mauritania, Djibouti, Gambia, Cape Verde, and Guinea-Bissau where Pakistani citizens can travel without a prior visa.

Asia includes the Maldives, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Cambodia, and Timor Leste, while Oceania includes the Cook Islands, Micronesia, Niue, Palau, Samoa, Tuvalu, and Vanuatu.

According to the report, Singapore has the world’s most powerful passport, with citizens able to travel to 192 countries without a visa. Japan, South Korea, and the United Arab Emirates are in second place.

In South Asia, India is 78th, and Bangladesh is 96th, while Afghanistan is ranked 103rd with the weakest passport. The report highlights clear differences in travel freedom globally.
