Development and Welfare of Dera Bugti Top Priority, Says Maj Gen Atif Mujtaba

Dera Bugti – Inspector General Frontier Corps (IGFC) Balochistan North, Major General Atif Mujtaba, said that the welfare of the people of Dera Bugti and the development of the region remain the top priority of the government and security institutions.
He made these remarks during a one-day visit to Dera Bugti, where he received a warm welcome from local leaders, tribal elders, and officials, including Mir Aftab Bugti, younger brother of Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti, District Chairman Dera Bugti Wadera Ghulam Nabi Shambani Bugti, Deputy Commissioner Dera Bugti, and other political and social figures.
During the visit, Major General Atif Mujtaba attended a grand jirga where tribal elders and citizens highlighted various local issues. The discussions focused on challenges related to education, health, electricity, clean water, roads, and other basic infrastructure needs.
The IGFC Balochistan North listened to the concerns of the participants and directed the concerned authorities to take immediate steps to address them. He also emphasized the need to accelerate the pace of ongoing development projects in the region.
He stated that ensuring the welfare of the people of Dera Bugti and promoting regional development are the top priorities of both the government and security institutions, and all available resources will be utilized for this purpose.
Major General Mujtaba further urged the youth to focus on education and positive activities, saying it would help promote peace, development, and prosperity in the region.
Tribal elders and jirga participants appreciated the engagement of the IGFC and thanked him for taking interest in resolving local issues and supporting development initiatives in the area.
