Punjab private schools seek approval for summer camps

ISLAMABAD: Private schools in Punjab have sought permission to organize summer camps to make up for the educational loss during the summer holidays.
Private school owners say that the government should allow them to organize early morning summer camps during the summer holidays so that the continuity of students’ studies can be maintained.
According to private school owners, summer camps should be organized from 7 am to 10 am, so that the intensity of the heat can also be avoided.
Private school administrations say that the duration of curricular activities has been affected due to the recent undeclared holidays, which will significantly benefit students in reducing the learning loss from the summer camp. This educational loss can be reduced to a great extent through summer camps.
According to sources in the School Education Department, permission has been given to organize summer camps for one month every year, however, this year the final permission will be given after the approval of the Chief Minister.
