Deadly Heatwave in Karachi Claims 8 Lives

Islamabad: At least eight people have died in Karachi amid intense heat, as authorities reported multiple deaths across different parts of the city.
According to rescue officials, one unidentified body was recovered near Saima Arabian Villas in Manghopir, while another was found close to Noor Hotel in Gulshan-e-Hadeed. In Defence Phase 8, Khayaban-e-Saqib, a body was also discovered, and a man found in critical condition near Clifton Boat Basin later died during treatment.
Rescue sources further stated that a man found unconscious under Liaquatabad No. 10 Bridge succumbed to his condition, while another person discovered near Jamali Bridge on the Super Highway also passed away during treatment.
Additionally, a man found in serious condition in Surjani Scheme 33 died later, while a body recovered near Tayyaba Mosque on Sparco Road in Baldia was identified as 55-year-old Abdul Wadud.
According to Chhipa welfare officials, all deaths were caused by the extreme heat gripping the city, raising concerns over public safety during the ongoing heatwave.
