Heatwave to Intensify in Karachi as Temperatures May Feel Up to 49°C

Karachi:** The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast an increase in heat intensity in Karachi starting today, with hot and dry conditions expected to persist across most parts of the country, while southern regions are likely to experience severe heat.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature in Karachi is expected to reach up to 40°C today. However, the “feels-like” temperature may range between 46°C and 49°C due to high humidity levels.
The department reported that the sky remains completely clear at present, with humidity recorded at 67 percent. Winds are blowing from the west at a speed of 12 km/h, while sea breezes are expected to return in the evening, which may provide slight relief.
The forecast further indicates that the heatwave conditions are likely to persist on Monday as well, with no chances of rain in the city.
