“Hero of the Seas” Set to Become World’s Largest Cruise Ship, Five Times Bigger Than Titanic

Miami: The cruise industry is preparing to welcome a new maritime giant as Royal Caribbean unveils its upcoming mega ship, “The Hero of the Seas,” which is set to become the world’s largest cruise vessel.
The new ship, which will surpass the record of the current giant Icon of the Seas, is reported to be five times larger than the legendary Titanic in terms of scale and capacity.
Scheduled for its maiden voyage in August 2027 from Miami, Florida, bookings for the vessel opened on April 2, 2026. The ship is designed to redefine luxury cruising with its massive size and advanced amenities.
Technically, the ship measures 365 meters in length, 65 meters in width, and weighs approximately 250,800 tons, featuring 20 decks. In comparison, the Titanic weighed just 46,328 tons, highlighting the enormous difference in scale.
The “Hero of the Seas” will function as a floating city, capable of accommodating 7,600 passengers along with 2,350 crew members at a time.
Onboard facilities include nine swimming pools, 28 dining venues, a large kinetic art sculpture, and a record-breaking water park located 154 feet above sea level. A special three-deck “Treehouse” area has also been designed for families, offering accommodation for up to 12 guests.
With its unmatched size and luxury features, the vessel is set to mark a new milestone in the global cruise industry.
