Jawad Ahmed Claims He and Iqrar-ul-Hassan Are “Top Level” Figures After Imran Khan
Lahore: Pakistani singer Jawad Ahmed has stated that after former Prime Minister Imran Khan, he and journalist Iqrar-ul-Hassan are among the top-level public figures in the country.
During an interview, Jawad Ahmed said that he is counted among the leading singers of Pakistan, while Iqrar-ul-Hassan is one of the most prominent journalists in the media industry. He added that both individuals hold significant positions in their respective fields.
He further remarked that after a highly popular figure like Imran Khan entered politics, it has become difficult for other well-known personalities to achieve the same level of political acceptance. According to him, public reception becomes limited when already established celebrities try to enter politics.
Jawad Ahmed also claimed that whenever he expresses his opinions about Imran Khan, he faces strong reactions and personal criticism instead of constructive debate.
Meanwhile, Punjab Information Minister Uzma Bukhari recently expressed support for Iqrar-ul-Hassan in a separate airport-related incident and called for action against a uniformed official, emphasizing that misconduct by public servants damages institutional credibility.
