Turkey Offers Assistance in Clearing Mines from Strait of Hormuz

Istanbul: Turkey has offered to assist in clearing naval mines from the Strait of Hormuz following a reported agreement between the United States and Iran.
According to Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Ankara may consider participating in mine-clearing operations in the strategic waterway after the peace agreement.
He stated that such tasks would be carried out by technical teams from multiple countries, adding that Turkey sees no issue in taking part in these operations if required.
Fidan further said that Turkey views such initiatives as part of its humanitarian responsibility and supports efforts aimed at ensuring maritime safety and stability in the region.
