CM Bugti Blames “Nationalist Politics” for Balochistan’s Decline, Announces Rs3 Billion Per District Development Plan

Gwadar (Kudrat Daily) – Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has strongly criticized nationalist politics, saying it has “destroyed Balochistan,” while announcing that the provincial government has finalized development projects worth Rs3 billion for each district across Balochistan.
Addressing a public jirga at the Gwadar Port Authority, Bugti said that his government’s priority is not politics or votes but securing a better future for the people of the province.
He claimed that nationalist politics has pushed Baloch youth into an “uneven and futile war,” adding that such conflict brings no benefit or change in destiny. “Those promoting this narrative are the real beneficiaries of war,” he said.

The jirga was attended by senior civil and military leadership, including Jaffar Khan Mandokhail, Corps Commander Quetta Lt Gen Rahat Naseem Ahmed Khan, and other political and security officials.
Bugti said Gwadar remains a top priority for the government, noting significant progress in education, infrastructure, and administrative reforms. He added that school reopening efforts have been most successful in Gwadar, while teacher recruitment has also been completed.
On the issue of water scarcity, he stated that the government has permanently resolved the problem, accusing previous administrations of large-scale corruption through water tanker mafias.
The Chief Minister reiterated that Rs3 billion development packages have been allocated for every district, adding that transparent governance can transform the future of Balochistan.
Criticizing militant activities, he said small groups cannot destabilize Pakistan, emphasizing that the state remains strong and organized. He also defended security checks at checkpoints, urging public cooperation with security forces.

Bugti further said that incidents of violence have caused greater harm to Baloch society than any external factor, and accused certain groups of exploiting the narrative of deprivation for political gain.
He announced that after June, all government recruitment will be conducted through artificial intelligence (AI), eliminating the need for candidates to travel to Quetta for interviews.
The Chief Minister concluded by stating that with honesty and proper planning, Balochistan’s development trajectory can be completely transformed.
