University of Balochistan, Livestock Department Sign MoU to Boost Vaccine Production

Quetta (Kudrat Daily) – The University of Balochistan and the Livestock Department Balochistan have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at increasing the production and supply of livestock vaccines across the province.
The agreement was finalized during a key meeting held at the Syndicate Hall of the Vice Chancellor’s Secretariat, chaired by Vice Chancellor Zahoor Ahmed Bazai, with Provincial Minister for Livestock Sardarzada Faisal Khan Jamali attending as the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, the provincial minister praised the university’s efforts, stating that the collaboration would play a vital role in improving the livestock sector, strengthening farmers’ economic conditions, and ensuring food security in Balochistan.
The MoU was formally signed by Livestock Secretary Dr Muhammad Daud Bazai and the Vice Chancellor, marking the beginning of enhanced institutional cooperation.
Officials reviewed plans to strengthen collaboration in research, training, and technical support. A detailed presentation on vaccine development, quality standards, and supply mechanisms was delivered by Dr Kaleem Mandokhail.
Under the agreement, the University of Balochistan will produce approximately 100 million doses of livestock vaccines annually, significantly contributing to disease control and the overall development of the livestock sector.
The meeting was attended by senior officials, including University of Turbat Vice Chancellor Gul Hassan, Director General Livestock Muhammad Farooq Tareen, and other faculty members and government representatives.
At the conclusion of the session, the Vice Chancellor thanked the participants and presented commemorative shields. Both sides also agreed to further expand cooperation in scientific research and technical capacity building in the future.
