DIG Quetta Stresses Police as Public Servants During School Visit; Urges Children to Memorize Emergency Number 15

Quetta (Daily Qudrat): In a special initiative to promote law awareness and public trust in the police, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Quetta Imran Shaukat hosted a visit for school children to the Civil Lines Police Station.

During the visit, DIG Shaukat personally met with students and explained the organizational structure of the police, daily responsibilities, and methods of public service. He emphasized that the police are not rulers but servants of the people, with their primary duty being the protection of citizens’ lives and property.

Highlighting the importance of emergency response, he instructed children to memorize the police helpline number “15” to ensure they can quickly seek help in any critical situation. DIG Shaukat also introduced the concept of a “red line,” stressing that no one should take the law into their own hands and that any breach of law must be reported immediately to authorities.

Students toured various police departments and observed professional duties up close. Educational and social circles have praised the initiative as a positive step in child education and community policing.
