Iran Rejects U.S. Conditions for Talks as Trump Extends Ceasefire

Iranian state media has reported that Tehran has rejected U.S. conditions for negotiations, signaling continued tensions between the two sides. According to the report, the United States had proposed terms for dialogue that Iran deemed unacceptable, halting any immediate progress toward diplomatic engagement.

The report further stated that U.S. President Donald Trump unilaterally announced an extension of the ceasefire. Trump, in a message posted on social media, said the decision was influenced by a request from Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir.

According to Trump, the Pakistani leadership urged the United States to refrain from launching attacks on Iran until a consensus proposal is presented by Iranian authorities. He added that the ceasefire would remain in place until the negotiation process is completed and Iran formally submits its proposals.

Despite the extension of the ceasefire, uncertainty remains over the future of diplomatic efforts, as Iran’s rejection of U.S. conditions highlights the ongoing deadlock between the two countries.
