Bushra Bibi Undergoes Eye Surgery, Shifted Back to Adiala Jail After Recovery

Rawalpindi: Former First Lady Bushra Bibi underwent surgery on her right eye at a private hospital in Rawalpindi and has since been shifted back to Adiala Jail after her condition stabilized.
According to a statement issued by the jail superintendent, the procedure was carried out with the patient’s consent on the previous evening. After spending one night at the hospital, she was discharged and transferred back to jail.
The statement said Bushra Bibi had complained of vision issues in her right eye, prompting jail authorities to arrange an immediate examination by ophthalmology specialists. She was subsequently diagnosed with Retinal Detachment.
Following the diagnosis, doctors recommended surgery. She was moved to a private hospital in Rawalpindi where all necessary medical tests and evaluations were completed prior to the procedure.
The surgery was performed by Dr. Nadeem Qureshi along with his medical team. After a successful operation and overnight observation, her condition improved, and she was discharged.
Authorities confirmed that Bushra Bibi has now been safely returned to Adiala Jail.
