Murder Suspect Escapes from Quetta Hospital, Five Police Officials Suspended

Quetta: A murder suspect managed to escape from Bolan Medical Complex (BMC) in Quetta while under treatment, prompting authorities to suspend five police personnel over negligence.
According to police, the escaped prisoner has been identified as Taj Muhammad, a patwari by profession, who was under arrest in a murder case. He had been transferred from Loralai Jail to Quetta for medical treatment and was admitted to the hospital at the time of the escape.
Following the incident, strict action was taken against the officers on duty. Sub-Inspector Manzoor Ahmed, who was serving as the security in-charge, along with four other personnel, was immediately suspended. A case has also been registered against them at Brewery Police Station for negligence in performing their duties.
The Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Loralai has taken notice of the incident and formed a high-level inquiry committee under the supervision of an SP to investigate how the suspect managed to flee.
Meanwhile, a separate case has been registered against the escaped suspect. Police have set up checkpoints across the city and launched search operations to apprehend him.
