Erdogan Warns Any Attack on Iran or Lebanon Will Be Treated as Attack on Türkiye

Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has issued a strong warning, stating that any attack on Iran or Lebanon would be considered an attack on Türkiye.

In a statement addressing the escalating tensions in the Middle East, Erdoğan described the growing conflict as “deeply concerning” and urged Israel to “stop playing with fire.” He warned that failure to do so could result in serious consequences.

The Turkish president accused Israel of obstructing peace efforts and said that undermining regional stability would come at a cost. He further заявил that if diplomatic efforts fail, taking action against Israel would become a “duty.”

Referring to Türkiye’s past military involvement in regional conflicts, Erdoğan said Ankara could take similar steps if necessary. He also подчеркнул that Pakistan’s mediation efforts have so far helped prevent further escalation.

Erdoğan strongly criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, accusing him of fueling violence and stating that legal action over alleged war crimes should be pursued.

He added that, despite ceasefire periods, Israeli actions have continued to result in civilian casualties in Lebanon, further worsening the humanitarian situation in the region.
