Erdogan Warns Ongoing Iran Conflict Beginning to “Weaken” Europe

ISTANBUL: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has warned that the ongoing conflict in Iran is starting to have a weakening impact on Europe, urging a shift toward peace-driven strategies to prevent further damage.
According to a statement released by his office, Erdogan made the remarks during a telephone conversation with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier. The discussion covered bilateral relations as well as ongoing conflicts in Iran and Ukraine.
The statement noted that Erdogan highlighted how instability in the region is no longer confined locally but is increasingly affecting Europe. He cautioned that unless the situation is addressed through a comprehensive peace-oriented approach, the consequences of the conflict could become far more severe.
Erdogan emphasized the importance of diplomatic engagement and conflict resolution, stressing that prolonged instability risks broader geopolitical and economic repercussions beyond the immediate region.
